Inlet Filter for L Series and Q Series

Cleanable Inlet Filter for your Water Butt / Water Tank

Both the SOL-C18Q and SOL-C36Q (and older models like SOL-C12L and SOL-C24L) come with an Inlet filter like this in the Solar Automatic Watering Kit. 

If you find that your filter is allowing sediment into your water network, it could be an older model of filter which had a small manufacturing tolerance issue. The newer models of inlet filter have a washer between the black lid and the white filter cage which rectifies this issue. 

You can identify if you have this issue by popping off the black lid of your filter, if you find sediment inside you may have an older filter. You can either purchase a new filter here, or contact our support team who will be happy to send you a specific washer that you can install to rectify the problem. Simply wash out the original filter to remove any debris, put the marbles back inside, add the washer to the top of the white cage and firmly press the black lid onto it until you hear a click.
