Prevent Overwatering and Water loss
When moving water from a high place to a low place, a gravity siphon gets created. Without a non return check valve (one of the components of this anti-siphon device) it would be possible for water to continue running when the pump stops, which could lead to all your water running out.
If the first dripper in your network is lower than your water source it is important that you install the Anti Syphon Device to your SOL-C12L and SOL-C24L systems to prevent any unnecessary water loss or over watering. It should be fitted to the delivery tube between the pump and the first dripper and it must be installed higher than your water source, so bear this in mind when deciding where to place your SOL-C12L or SOL-C24L controller.
The anti-siphon device consists of a non return check valve (IRR-NRV-V2), a small length of 4mm tube, and a 4mm T Piece (IRR-4MM-T). Should the anti-siphon devices be out of stock, you can create one yourself using these three components. Simply connect them as show in the image.
